space campus

The Space Campus is entirely dedicated to the space sector, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of companies and public research institutions active in this field. This infrastructure project aims to facilitate the establishment and networking of national and international stakeholders in the space ecosystem, whether already based in Luxembourg or wishing to establish themselves there.

The Belval Space Campus brings together the majority of public space research activities on a single site, thus creating the best possible conditions for future synergies. The following activities will be consolidated:

- the research activities of the European Space Resources and Innovation Center (ESRIC), which represents the strategic project for public research in the field of space resource utilization;

- the space research activities of the Interdisciplinary Center for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg, with a particular focus on space communication, space systems, and space robotics;
- The University of Luxembourg's Space Master's program, designed to meet the ever-increasing demand for a highly trained workforce in the space sector.

The Belval Fund is responsible for the construction of these infrastructures on behalf of the State and will also manage and maintain them, in accordance with the law defining its mission.
