crp gabriel lippmann

The “Centre de Recherche Public Gabriel Lippmann” (Gabriel Lippman Public Research Centre) established in 1987 and active in applied scientific research, technological developments and technology transfer, has been located in a temporary building on the Belval site since March 2005. The construction of the building was made necessary by the urgent relocation of CRP Gabriel Lippmann, due to the inadequate and restricted space available at the former Luxembourg-Limpertsberg premises.

The building consists of a total of 200 modules and has a volume of over 20,000 m³. The building has lately been newly-expanded.

The CRP GL is located in the “rue du Brill” in Belvaux near the former plant gate 4 of the ARBED Esch Belval plant.

After completion of the academic and research infrastructures of the “Cité des Sciences” (City of Science) on the Blast Furnace Terrace, the CRP Gabriel Lippmann will be relocated during a second construction phase near the University of Luxembourg and the other Research Centres.
